Across a single day in Lagos, Clarissa (Academy Award® nominee Sophie Okonedo, HOTEL RWANDA) prepares to host a high society party as memories of now-distant friends and loves from her complicated youth begin to consume her. Separately, Septimus (Fortune Nwafor), a young soldier, is haunted by his own memories of the horrors he has witnessed and endured. With a supporting cast including Ayo Edebiri ('The Bear') and David Oyelowo (SELMA), directors Arie and Chuko Esiri boldly adapt Virginia Woolf’s renowned Mrs. Dalloway to traverse past and present, across the bourgeois class and those too easily forgotten by society, weaving a delicate portrait of contemporary Nigeria. A NEON release.
