Shortly before the 1973 Chilean coup, CIA agents Chris (two-time Academy Award® nominee John Malkovich) and Lee (Academy Award winner Sam Rockwell) are dispatched from Santiago to Easter Island by their bureau chief MJ (Golden Globe Award® winner Steve Buscemi). Amongst the island's iconic statues, the longtime partners wrestle with their dark pasts and present conspiracies, threatening to send everyone’s trip to this remote paradise sideways. Academy Award winner Martin McDonagh (THE BANSHEES OF INISHERIN, HIFF 2022) reflects on friendship, regret, and legacy through his signature dark humor, stunning scenic locations, and outstanding performances from an all-star cast. A Searchlight Pictures release.
