Two-time Academy Award® nominee Andrey Zvyagintsev (LOVELESS, HIFF 2017) re-interprets Claude Chabrol’s classic THE UNFAITHFUL WIFE within the world of the ultra-elite in contemporary Russia. Gleb (Dmitriy Mazurov), a successful company director, finds himself under siege from mounting corporate pressures, a struggling marriage to his wife Galina (Iris Lebedeva), and an increasingly unstable world. As the collapse of his carefully ordered life becomes imminent, the situation accelerates toward violence. Winner of the Cannes Grand Prix, MINOTAUR masterfully wields unrelenting suspense and magnetic performances to critique the silent brutality of authoritarianism. A MUBI release.
