The Lightkeeper

In a career-best performance, Dominic Cooper (AN EDUCATION, THE HISTORY BOYS) stars as Seamus, a lighthouse keeper in 1920s Ireland who is tethered to a mournful past that he cannot bear to leave behind. Gradually, his despondency begins to crack when three lives intersect with his own: a mysterious American widow, a hard-headed priest, and Seamus’ dedicated housekeeper. Buoyed by a trifecta of performances from Sarah Gadon, Aidan Quinn, and Sarah Bolger, THE LIGHTKEEPER is a deeply felt portrayal of grief and the transformative power of community set against the lush, sweeping landscapes of Ireland’s Atlantic coast.
