Queen at Sea
Sunday, October 4 · 2:30 – 4:31 PM
Sag Harbor SHC1 · Sag Harbor Cinema, 90 Main St, Sag Harbor, NY 11963
Academy Award® winner Juliette Binoche (THE ENGLISH PATIENT) gives an expertly crafted, deeply stirring performance as a woman navigating frustrations with her stubborn stepfather (Academy Award nominee Tom Courtenay, 45 YEARS) as they face increasingly difficult choices in caring for her mother with dementia (a brilliant Anna Calder-Marshall). Winner of the Berlinale Silver Bear Jury Prize, QUEEN AT SEA marks Lance Hammer’s return to the director’s chair after 18 years, as he shines an unflinching and empathetic light on the time-tested love, strained intimacy, and uncomfortable gray areas that come with caring for an aging parent. A Greenwich Entertainment release.
