The biggest rug-pull is the shift of scope and fleeting focal switch to the movie’s true protagonist. Some bold strokes in this film and any awkward moments of story and dialog are smoothed over by Hartnett’s high-powered performance. Feel like Shylaman was channeling some DePalma here.
