Two homicide detectives are on a desperate hunt for a serial killer whose crimes are based on the "seven deadly sins" in this dark and haunting film that takes viewers from the tortured remains of one victim to the next. The seasoned Det. Somerset researches each sin in an effort to get inside the killer's mind, while his novice partner, Mills, scoffs at his efforts to unravel the case.

It has been a while since I last saw this picture, but now it feels so much more as theater to me. The two main actors doing a character study on how the grueling job can change a man, and how two different individuals deal with all of it. Also, in my mind, the movie ended a minute earlier before het shot him. I don't know why. And it was nice to see the extra added screen at the end of the credits with the people who helped remaster the movie to 4K.
